Tk.: 1995-től 1998-ig a FAO Európa Erdészeti Bizottságának alelnöke, 1998 és 2000 között elnöke. 1998-tól az Eu. Erdészeti Intézet Tudományos Tanácsadó Testületének, 1996-tól az Eu. Erdészeti Állandó Bizottsága Tudományos Tanácsadó Testületének, 1990-től számos FAO és ENSZ munkabizottság (világ erdőleltár, erdészeti statisztika) tagja. 1990-től az Országos Erdészeti Egyesület helyi csoportjának elnöke, 1994 és 1998 között főtitkárhelyettese.
